Hicksville Colonial with mother-daughter option reduced to $725K

An 11-room, 2,000-square-foot Colonial in Hicksville has just had a price drop of $44K to $725,000. The home is on Nevada Street near the Broadway Mall on Route 106 and not far from the Northern State Parkway. Built in 1951, the house underwent a complete renovation in 2019 that includes an extension in the back with a formal dining room and family room, in addition as a second floor.

“It’s one of the larger homes on the block, which has mostly ranches,” said listing agent Sarika Gera with Douglas Elliman Real Estate.

The house has six bedrooms and three newly renovated bathrooms. It features a first-floor dominant bedroom and two other first-floor bedrooms, a bathroom and an eat-in-kitchen with granite counters and a sliding door to the patio.

The second floor has three bedrooms and a bath and has mother-daughter possible with the proper permits. Both the first and second floors have separate entrances. The house also has a new gas heating system, roof, LED lighting and flooring. There’s a complete basement with a bathroom and a one-car detached garage.

The 0.11-acre lot has a large fenced-in yard with a paved patio and walkways. The current owner, who bought the house in 2005, lives out of state; the house is currently a rental character.

The home, in the Hicksville School District, has annual taxes of $12,378.
